History
The only son of the security and pharmaceutical conglomerate, Atobe was born with a platinum spoon and probably the entire dining utensil set. The lack of parental guidance in his formative years led to his displacement from his family. The only thing he believes his parents were right on him was that he was going to be a blessing that nobody deserved - God's grace to the world.
Perhaps it was all that power and money that made Atobe feel invincible, untouchable, and oh so above the law. Never the kind to back down from a challenge, (even if it was a stupid one, because consequences weren't a question for an Atobe) he manipulated the security system of the government that his family was responsible for and set it to corrupt within itself. He did it because he could. There was no apparent motive behind it. But deep down, he knew it was to prove that he wasn't just an Atobe in name. He left subtle clues that pointed the culprit to himself because on some level, he knew what he was doing was wrong and wanted to be punished for it. It made perfect sense to him on the surface, not that he would ever admit it. But being a masochist at heart - pain makes him feel alive. He relishes in punishments, as though atoning for his sins but most of all because it makes him feel real.
His latest wanton behaviour in a public corporate function was the last straw his parents could take. They had suspected their son for the screw up within the government and for pilfering drugs in their hospitals. But because he was no fool, combined with the fact that his parents will never admit that their son was a 'failure' he got it easy. But there were strings attached if he wanted to inherit the Atobe Empire, which lead him to St. Jude Thaddeus' Home For Troubled Youths.

He secretly fears mirrors because every time he looks into them, it feels as though his reflection mocks him. Looking into the mirror wasn’t just pure vanity, he looks into the mirror for someone to look back at him the way nobody would. Ironically, he aspires to become the Chief of Justice.
